The narrative was divided into three different videos so the audience could be taken through a journey to remind Hi-Top of how it all started, where they are now thanks to their loyal employees, and the exciting things to come in the future. We interviewed the founder's family, long-time employees, and asked them to share their learnings and most memorable experiences with Hi-Top.

This project goes beyond a typical AVP that showcases the company and its products/services, and instead focuses on the gratitude of Hi-Top employees for what the company has offered them, and how Hi-Top is not just a corporation, but a family to all.

Conducting Interviews

Our production team visited all the Hi-Top offices in Bulacan and Manila to conduct the interviews in batches. We spoke to long-time employees that have been at Hi-Top for over 20 years, as well as the founding family. The interview process was both the most important and most memorable part of this project because the narrative of the videos depended on the stories they shared. While we had a set of guide questions to prompt them, we instructed them to share their own experiences and gave them the opportunity to speak freely so we could capture their genuine, candid emotions.

This project was split up into three separate videos.

The first outlined the history of Hi-Top and how the company started and it features the current CEO and president, whose father was the founder.

The second installment focused on the employees and their passion for what they do, and how Hi-Top has helped them grow their families and supported them through both minor and major life events.

The third and final video highlights the company’s vision for the future, and it features the next-in-line leaders as they talk about how the 50th anniversary is just the beginning.

Behind The Scenes

We had a lot of fun on this shoot because it was so unique to the projects we had done prior. We shot on location and were exposed to huge machinery that was handling metal materials. Though the experience was not our usual shoot-in-the-studio day, seeing the company’s operations in person made us appreciate the industry more.

The Hi-Top employees were very welcoming, and our interaction with them made the shoot a great experience for the team and this warmth translates into the final footage you see in the videos.
